Book Clubs:

  • Bookanalia at 6:15 on Wednesday, October 19 in the Session Room will be Anxious People by Fredrik Backman. We will be hybrid, both in person and on Zoom. All are welcome whether you have read the book or not.
  • Booktalk for Tuesday at 11:30   on October 25 in the Living Room will discuss The Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles. We will be hybrid, both in person and by Zoom. All are welcome and you do not have to have read the book to join us. Please come with a question or comment about the book to share with the group for discussion. Also bring your lunch and a drink.
  • This month, the Pastor’s Book Club will read The Book of Joy: Lasting Happiness in a Changing World by His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu. When Archbishop Desmond Tutu traveled to visit the Dalai Lama in 2015, they tried to answer the question: How do we find joy in the face of life’s inevitable suffering? This book offers a life-giving chance for us to experience their week together. We will meet on Sunday, November 6 at 4:00. Hope to see you there!

All Church Day at Cedar Ridge Camp

  • Enjoy some time at Cedar Ridge Camp on Sunday, October 9, 2:00-5:00 PM. There will be archery, fishing (bring your own fishing gear), canoeing, gaga ball, hiking, outdoor games, ultimate frisbee, campfire with s’mores, and fellowship with one another. You are welcome to arrive early or stay later. Bring chairs, snacks, and water bottles. Rain will cancel the event. Tie-dye a Harvey Browne shirt– perfect to wear to Service Worship Sunday (cost – $10)

Blessing of the Animals

  • Join us Sunday, October 16 at 4:00 PM for a Blessing of the Animals. We will meet on the front lawn of the church, under the tree at the corner of Browns Lane and Church Way. Bring your furry friends, turtles, goldfish – whoever can make it in your car! If they can’t come, just bring their picture, and we will have a brief service of blessing together. Hope you can make it!

Harvey Browne Fall Festival

  • Wear your best costume to the fall festival Friday, October 28 5:00-8:00pm. There will be food trucks, lawn games, a costume parade, bounce houses and more fun! At 8:00pm the American Guild of Organist will put on their annual Pipes & Pumpkins organ concert in the sanctuary.
