Book Clubs:

  • Booktalk for Tuesday, October 29th at 11:30 on Zoom and in the Living Room will be Navigating Early by Claire Vanderpool. It is a YA novel about two lonely thirteen-year-old boys at a private boarding school in Maine and the dangerous adventure they embark on when they are left alone at school during a holiday break. Bring a sandwich and a drink and join us for a lively discussion. Everyone is welcome and you do not have to have read the book. If you buy your book at Carmichael’s, mention Booktalk at Harvey Browne and receive a 20% discount.
  • Pastor’s Book Club will meet November 3 at 4:00. We’ll be reading The Ballot and the Bible: How Scripture Has Been Used and Abused in American Politics and Where We Go From Here by Caitlyn Schiess. Come out and join the conversation!
  • Bookanalia will meet after Weds night supper on Nov. 20, 2024, to discuss The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store by James McBride. Sarah Grant will facilitate our conversation. LFPL carries multiple copies of this book in all formats.
