Megan Durham is a singing voice specialist and creative arts facilitator whose work at Harvey Browne centers on integrating trauma-informed care into church life and artistic practice. She equips communities to engage in artistic expression through frameworks of consent, embodiment, and co-regulation, fostering spaces where individuals feel seen, supported, and empowered. Megan has previously served as the Children’s Music Coordinator at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (Doylestown, PA), and First United Church of Christ (Hellertown, PA)
Megan is a facilitator of YogaVoice®, LifeForce Yoga®, Transcending Trauma Through Yoga (Zabie Yamasaki), Manual Therapy for Voice Disorders (Walt Fritz) and Movement for Trauma (Jane Clapp), and serves as Education Director for the Voice and Trauma Research and Connection Group, which she co-founded with Dr. Elisa Monti and Heleen Grooten. A Recognized Vocologist with the Pan American Vocology Association, her research and writings have been published in the Journal of Singing, Choral Journal, and the book Trauma and the Voice. Megan has also served on faculty at the Presbyterian Association of Musician’s Worship & Music Conference at Montreat, where she taught yoga for ensemble singing, integrating breath, embodiment, and trauma-informed practices into communal music-making.
Megan holds degrees in voice pedagogy and performance from Westminster Choir College of Rider University and the University of Richmond. She completed her SVS certification at the Chicago Center for Professional Voice with Dr. Karen Wicklund. Megan collaborates with the music therapy department at the University of Louisville and has served on the voice faculties of DeSales University, Moravian College, Muhlenberg College, Lehigh University, Bellarmine University, and the University of Louisville.
