Join us for Service Worship Sunday on August 17th at 10:00 AM — please note the special time change!
Service Worship Sunday is a meaningful opportunity to worship God through acts of service, using our hearts and hands to make a difference in our community. This special day also allows us to deepen our connections with partner organizations across the city.
We’ll begin with a brief worship service in the sanctuary at 10:00 AM, after which we’ll be sent out to participate in various service activities both on-site and off-site.
Off-site opportunities include:
- Volunteering at La Casita Center to paint, prep and clean indoor space for resource distribution
- Worshiping with our partner church, Shawnee Presbyterian with a reception to follow worship (service begins at 10:45)
- Organize, paint and prepare indoor classroom space for La Escuelita Ministry at Beechmont Presbyterian Church
On-site activities include:
- Assemble welcome kits for Kentucky Refugee Ministries(KRM) clients
- Baking cookies for Central Presbyterian Church’s weekly feeding ministry
- Assembling tie-end prayer blankets for church members and friends
- Creating art projects for church friends who are homebound
- Making Christmas wreaths for families of KRM
It promises to be a joyful and impactful Sunday! No need to sign-up, simply show up in the sanctuary at 10:00 on Sunday!
