Upcoming Micro-missions at HBPres:
Month of October:
Touched Twice Clinic
For the seventh year, our neighbor church, St. Matthews Methodist, will be hosting this one-day ministry on Saturday, October 21 from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Many volunteers are needed (233 people received help last year) to run this clinic and there are “sitting down” jobs. Each year HBPres members have helped in various areas, especially as “shepherds,” who accompany each family unit to their requested services.
Touched Twice is a ministry providing free medical services to underprivileged individuals in our community along with meeting other physical and spiritual needs. Among the services offered are medical/dental exams, hearing screenings, flu shots, family photos, clothing closet, food pantry and hot lunch.
If you are not able to help by volunteering on October 21, you can participate by bringing needed items to the HBPres Grocery Cart (non-perishable food and hygiene items) and winter clothing in good condition placed across from the Drop Closet.
Sign-ups will be Sundays, September 24, October 1 and October 8 before and after the 11:00 service in the Foyer or you can contact Mary Alice Grover at 502-454-4317; e-mail email@example.com.
